Fool’s Talk: Recovering the Art of Christian Persuasion by Os Guinness

Os Guinness attests that, because of globalization and mass communication, “we are in the grand secular age of apologetics,” although most people don’t know about or understand the role of Christian apologetics and are simply concerned with self-promotion.

InFool’s Talk, Guinness challenges Christians by asking if they are ready for this new age of apologetics. He grounds his apologetics in the sure knowledge that “God is his own best apologist.” Christian apologetics is never about us, but is always about the Lord.

Guinness’s repeated emphasis on two biblical truths—that God seeks us first and that the Holy Spirit is the only one who can open our eyes to sin and our need for salvation in Christ—will encourage Christians to speak and live boldly for the One whom we love, for we are all called to be apologists.
