For Paul Buth, 54, the Sea to Sea tour provided opportunities to serve as well as cycle. In Yakima, Wash., he helped load furniture and prepared food at a food bank. In Boise, Idaho, he served on the food line at a shelter. In London, Ontario, he served at another shelter. “It fulfills me and gives me pleasure,” he said of his service. “I like to give dignity and respect to people.” Buth, a member of Sherman Street CRC in Grand Rapids, Mich., also volunteers with similar ministries at home.
