Wright Christian Reformed Church in Kanawha, Iowa, recently celebrated its 125th anniversary. With a focus on celebrating God’s faithfulness, the celebration included a worship services with six former pastors participating.

During a time of remembrance pastor Michelangelo Ramirez shared what a blessing Wright CRC has been to him and his congregations. He leads Five Fountains Church, a Hispanic congregation that worships in Wright CRC’s building.

After a potluck dinner, a second service was held with a focus on looking forward. Current pastor Jason Semans delivered the message based on Psalm 100:5.

Semans arrived as Wright CRC’s pastor in June. “Because I had just arrived, it was a great way to see how healthy the church is,” he said. When Semans looks forward to how he sees God working, he said, “The plan for the future is to look at how we can spread God’s Word and be invitational to those that are unchurched and care for those that are with us, and live out the faithfulness that has been built over the generations.”
