Two thousand Christian Reformed Church members gathered at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif., in October to celebrate God’s faithfulness to the CRC for 150 years.

The service also highlighted the 100-year milestone of the Great Korean Revival of 1907, which has resulted in more than 40 percent of Koreans converting to Christianity.

A 235-voice Korean choir in traditional costume, representing 15 congregations, filled the glass sanctuary with anthems of praise. Other groups presenting musical gifts included a Samoan choir, Lightshine Choir, Valley Christian Madrigals, Long Beach New City Church praise team, and soloist Mateo Cruz.

Rev. Norberto Wolf, regional race-relations coordinator, said the planning team wanted to underscore the gift of diversity with which God?has blessed the CRC in southern California.

Cultural groups participating in the service included Samoans, Filipinos, Vietnamese, Indians, Pakistanis, Chinese, Hispanics, African Americans, Indonesians, Koreans, and people of Dutch descent.
