“What a joy it is to be alive in Christ! And what a delight that so many believe in the art of imitation and the meaning of creativity!” said Jack Hielema, one of the organizers of “Silk & New Wineskins: An Offering of Art 2006.” Almost 60 artists, all members of Alberta Christian Reformed churches, held a weekend of celebration and offering in April in Red Deer, Alberta. Artists of all ages submitted pieces for the exhibit, which included oil paintings, watercolors, photography, embroidery, poetry, woodwork, ceramics, metal work, and much more.
