Running in Boston for HIV/AIDS

Rev. John DeVries will run the Boston Marathon April 16, to raise funds for the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee’s HIV/AIDS programs in Africa.

DeVries, a CRC hospital chaplain in Chatham, Ontario, has always had a heart for people who suffer from AIDS. While HIV/AIDS is now considered a chronic condition in North America, DeVries has been especially touched by the plight of people in Africa, where HIV/AIDs is devastating the continent.

This is the 13th time DeVries has run the world’s oldest marathon. He hopes to inspire others to donate to help the people of Africa live healthier lives. For more information, contact Devries at jdevries@ckha.on.ca.
