River Jordan’s New Year's resolution was to pray for a different stranger each day. And, over the course of that year, she experienced a personal growth that she had never achieved through any previous resolution. By focusing on others, Jordan learned that “it's easier to pray for a stranger when we possess that place where we can walk on the waters that trouble us most, the tides of our emotions rising and rolling inside.” (Penguin)
