Singer-songwriter Meredith Andrews offers a powerful recording, Live from Liberty University (with Liberty Worship Collective), that contains seven anthems centered on the cross. The Liberty alum sings cover songs, such as “What He’s Done” and Charity Gayle’s “Thank You for the Blood.” She adds two of her own previous tunes (“The Lamb, The Lion, The King—All Hail King Jesus” and “Who Could”) and two new selections, “Prevail” and “Claimed the Blood.” Andrews discussed the Easter song “Claimed the Blood” in a release: “I believe the message is so timely for right now. With so much evil and confusion all around us, we are living in a ‘stake in the ground’ kind of moment. I pray this song encourages you to walk in your full identity, authority and inheritance as kids in His Kingdom.”
“Prevail” reminds listeners that God wins. The chorus states: “You've always been the rescue; You've always been the way; You were the resurrection; Before the world was made; When everything feels hopeless; This truth will never fail; One name will always triumph; My Jesus will prevail; Yes, my Jesus will prevail.” Andrews’ beautiful voice pleases the ears and draws listeners to the throne of grace.
