Amanda Janson’s debut record, Sinner to Saint, provides an intimate, vulnerable look into the singer/songwriter’s life. “Sinner to Saint is written as a journey,” Janson said in a release. “It starts in tension, doubt, and broken places, then slowly walks toward surrender, healing, and identity in Christ. Each song feels like a step forward, showing that transformation isn’t instant … but a real journey with God. It’s honest about the process, not just the outcome.” The record contains a heavy dose of ballads featuring Janson’s powerful and engaging voice. “Where the Warfare Ends” describes a dark time in Janson’s life where struggle turned into triumph. “This is where the warfare ends; Cutting ties with all regret; The enemy you face today; You will never see again; Peace is your inheritance.” Other notable selections include “Come,” asking for God’s cleansing, “Soul Song,” depicting Jesus as the rock and cornerstone and written during Janson’s husband’s health challenge, and “Wild Ones” an uptempo tune celebrating radical lives and sharing the gospel. The record offers raw and hopeful elements and points listeners to Christ. (Pure Mosaic Records)
