Crave by For King & Country

If their first album is any indication, For King & Country’s Australian-born brothers Luke and Joel Smallbone should be making solid contributions in the Christian music field for a long, long time. Crave is filled with energized rhythms and a ballad or two for good measure. Along with spirited guitars and drums, the usual rock instruments, Crave finds a significant place for the memorable, sweet sounds of the piano. The brothers blend powerful voices with inviting harmony. They sing about trusting and reaching out to God, human relationships, and hope. The title track seems to sum up the human existence: “Hope is what we crave. And that will never change.” (Fervent Records)
