Disability Concerns, a joint ministry of the Christian Reformed Church and the Reformed Church in America was honored by the Associated Church Press for both its print newsletter Breaking Barriers and its Disability Concerns blog on the Network, an online forum for people involved in all aspects of CRC ministry.
Breaking Barriers won an Award of Merit for general excellence in newsletters and also received an honorable mention for the Summer 2014 issue. Two more Awards of Merit honored the blog on the Network and the biographical piece “Voices of Hope and New Dreams” by Judyth Thomas.
Co-director Mark Stephenson also received an honorable mention for his editorial “The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.”
