The Winnipeg-born husband-wife singing duo Jodi King and Chris Rademaker, better known as Love & The Outcome, celebrate hope and trust in God with their extended play “You Got This.” King’s pleasing and powerful voice is prominently featured on the pop-driven, six-song record. Two songs stand out: the title cut and “Moving On.”
“Chris and I wrote ‘Moving On’ in a season of feeling stuck,” King said in a release. “In the middle of our frustrated prayers, God reminds us that even when we feel stuck, he is still moving. As believers, we’re never really stuck, we’re just on pause from God’s perspective.”
The effervescent “You Got This” focuses on dependence and says in part: “I don’t know the way/But you got this/Give me the faith/That you got this/Even today/You got this/I know that I know that I know that you got this.” Love & The Outcome arrived on the Christian music scene in 2012, and this buoyant effort suggests the duo will continue to make meaningful music well in the future.
