Dr. David Larson is director of development for Timothy Christian Schools, Elmhurst, Ill., and attends Hope Christian Reformed Church, Oak Forest, Ill. Dave’s grandfather remarried at approximately the age of Jake in the story. He proposed over bran muffins and called Dave for advice because of his childrens’ reactions to the news of his upcoming marriage.
