For nearly 50 years, the Christian Reformed Church’s Ministry to Seafarers has been making sure sailors in the port of Vancouver, B.C., receive Christmas hospitality.

Grace and Peace Community Center, a ministry in Chicago, Ill., offers an annual Christmas store where gifts are accessible to families in need.

The Council of Delegates met in Grimsby, Ont., from Oct. 9-11, 2019. Acting on behalf of synod, the annual leadership meeting of the Christian Reformed Church, between the meetings of synod, it took action on several issues.

After being asked by Synod 2019 to review historical instances of the Church speaking and to define what is an “ecclesiastical matter,” the CRC’s Council of Delegates is recommending the next synod appoint a study committee.
