Prestonwood Worship, the music arm of Prestonwood Baptist Church in the Dallas area, offers listeners a jewel with the live recording of Songs of the People. The CD/DVD combination includes 13 contemporary worship and inspirational songs that soothe troubled souls. The work features Dove Award-winning songwriter Michael Neale, the Prestonwood mass choir, and special guests Paul Baloche and Michael W. Smith.
The music reflects on God’s glory as well as the salvation and comfort he provides. Prestonwood members (numbering around 42,000) sing these songs in their churches at two locations; other congregations might find them appealing too.
